Soil Moisture Monitoring

The Technological Approach to high yields

Soil moisture & weather monitoring is an essential component in the drive to increase irrigation efficiency. High uniformity on itself is not enough. To gain control over yield and quantity, you must irrigate to meet the requirements or the plants. Soil moisture sensors give you the information you need to match soil moisture levels to those required for healthy plant growth.

Overview

Soil moisture and weather monitoring is an essential component in the drive to increase irrigation efficiency. Soil moisture sensors provide the information required to match soil moisture levels to those considered necessary for healthy plant growth. It also gives information on water movement in the soil and plant water requirements. There is a large range of suitable soil moisture and weather monitoring products on the market. Farmlink is able to customise a system to suit growers of all sizes through access to the leading products in market. Farmlink is the distributor for a range of soil moisture monitoring and weather monitoring equipment which includes Adcon Telemetry, Sentek, Aqualab and MEA Farmlink provides sales, installation, support and service for over 400 soil and weather monitoring sites in Western Australia. These consist of large private networks to small stand-alone systems. We also provide sales, installation and support. The equipment is installed in a variety of crops including wine and table grapes, pome and stone-fruit, olives, avocados, potatoes, truffles, monitoring of waste water, broad acre cropping

Weather Monitoring

Farmlink Rural can build automatic weather stations (AWS) in a range of configurations. The parameters to be monitored and the accuracy of the sensors can be chosen to meet the requirements of the application. The applications include: Agro-Meteorological AWS Evapotranspiration station Plant protection station Compact station Greenhouse station Odour Modelling : customs stations on 10m masts for odour monitoring and plume dispersion modelling Climate station : high quality station for general climate monitoring Portable AWS : general purpose AWS built around a folding tripod.

Soil Moisture & Weather Monitoring Live Data

Farmlink Rural is able to provide "Live Data" applications. Weather data can be published on any website by simply connecting a weather station to Live Data and embedding a frame on the desired page of your site. An easy to use navigation system allows you to browse through the data of this station. This is an example of Live data is from the Adcon Pemberton Weather Station
